What are DTF Transfers?

Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers are full-color heat transfers you press onto garments. They print super vivid, soft, and durable—and there’s no weeding.

What fabrics do they work on?

Best: Cotton, cotton/poly blends, tri-blends, canvas, denim.
Good with care: 100% polyester (lower temp, watch for dye migration on bright/dyed polys).
Not ideal: Waterproof/DWR-coated nylon, very heat-sensitive fabrics.

What size/quantity can I order?

Anything from small left-chest logos to full fronts, and gang sheets up to 22" wide. Use the builder to set width × height and quantity; the price updates instantly.

Minimum resolution & color settings?

Raster: 300 DPI at print size, transparent background if you want no background.
Color: sRGB is fine; avoid super-low-opacity effects.
Vector: expand strokes/effects if possible; outline fonts.

How do I press DTF transfers with a heat press?

Always test your specific press/film.)

Pre-press garment 3–5s to remove moisture; lint roll.
Place transfer, cover with parchment/Teflon.
Temp: 300–315°F (149–157°C)
Time: 12–15 seconds
Pressure: Medium-firm
Peel: Warm or cold (depends on film; start with warm).
Re-press: Cover again 5–8s for best durability.

Can I use a household iron?

A heat press is best, but if you must:

Set iron to Cotton/Linen, no steam.
Press firmly in small sections for 15–20s each through parchment. Don’t slide.
Let cool to warm, peel slowly.
Cover and re-press 10–15s.
Results vary by iron—use a press for consistent pro results.

How durable are DTF transfers?

With proper press & care, 50+ washes. Wash inside-out, cold, gentle cycle. Avoid bleach/softener. Tumble low or hang dry; don’t iron directly on the print.
